Justice for Jisha. This has been the hashtag trending on popular social media for the past few days, while the public followed the impending investigation of the heinous murder and rape of a young girl in South India. For those of you who are uninformed, let me draw your attention to this small part of the world called India. Not too long after the Nirbhaya case(Delhi) rocked the whole nation into uniting for a just cause,an even more inhuman act was reported further south, proving that the ripple effects could spread closer home,Contrary to our beliefs that we,our homes, friends, relatives will always be safe (here I'm talking about any possible threat to human life),the incident has brought to light the frightening struggle that marks the survival of women in India. The victim was severely wounded, lashed at as if caught in an animal attack,in several parts of her body, resulting in 38 slashes and the surfacing of  internal organs .I do not need to describe any more the savageness of the event.I cannot comprehend what would drive a few strangers, one of them a migrant worker,to just bust into a humble home and utterly destroy a girl like that. And please, none of the usual insinuations - provocative dress, religion, love failure,or whatever lame reasons you have to offer to put your mind to rest and move on.Seriously,I appreciate the power of the internet to quickly garner support in the face of such shocking news, but just spreading the word and staring at your screens, waiting for the so-called leaders to take action is simply not enough.Of course, there will be the charade - politicians visiting, celebrities offering condolences, benefactors appearing out of the blue to offer financial help and then disappearing the way they came and the disgusting seekers of bubble reputation, who pose for the media coverage, their crocodile tears doing nothing for the mauled body nearby, nor for the survivors. Not all of us can be activists, but the least we can do is to incite political action by standing together,to demand justice and boycotting the upcoming elections.Let us see what the money-loving 'men of power' do.Justice for Jisha, safety for women, peace for humanity. One might see them as high-filed ambitions, but it is certainly something worth working towards if it entails peace.Women are not commodities you can use for sex and then throw away.Crimes like cold-blooded murder are one thing, but this? What can this be other than the deterioration of mankind into something baser than animals? What's next?Cannibalism?I wouldn't be surprised.
Educate the boys to respect the opposite sex.Do not atypically put barriers on the lives of girls.Let them fly, like the boys.If we show them the right path and we ourselves show them the possibility of such an existence, then surely there will be a semblance of happiness.Frankly,it is astounding how we as a race, multiply to spread love and end up tarnishing multiple lives,to say the least.

P.S.-Technical details,I borrowed from various sources that I read, but the opinions expressed are genuine.
